Night Terror: New Russian Strikes on Ukraine
During the night and morning, Russia directed its aggression towards Ukrainian cities, launching nearly 500 drones and over 40 missiles, including the «Kinzhal». Four people died in Kyiv, and at least 40 were injured across Ukraine, as reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Facebook.
«The massive attack lasted over 12 hours. These brutal strikes are a deliberate act of terror against civilians – nearly 500 drones and over 40 missiles, including the "Kinzhal". In the morning, our skies were again filled with Russian-Iranian "Shaheds», - stated Zelensky.
The primary targets of the enemy's attack were Kyiv and the surrounding region, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, and Odesa regions. Due to the shelling, the building of the Cardiology Institute was damaged in the capital.
«As of now, there are reports of four fatalities in Kyiv, including a 12-year-old girl. My condolences go out to the families of the victims. In total, at least 40 people are known to be injured, including children», - informed Zelensky.
Under fire were a bread production facility, a tire manufacturing plant, private and apartment buildings, as well as civilian infrastructure. All necessary services are operating at the scene.
«This vile attack happened right after the conclusion of the UN General Assembly week, demonstrating Russia's true position. Moscow wants to continue fighting and killing and deserves the strongest pressure from the world. The Kremlin benefits from continuing this war and terror as long as there are funds from energy resources», - emphasized Zelensky.
In response, Ukraine will continue to strike back to «deprive Russia of these earning opportunities and compel them to diplomacy».
«Everyone who wants peace must support President Trump's efforts and cease any Russian imports. The time for decisive action has long come, and we expect a strong response from the USA, Europe, the «G7», and the «G20», - added Zelensky.
As of 10:25, due to the Russian attack on September 28, four people died in Kyiv, and 13 were injured. In the Kyiv region, 27 individuals were affected.
