New Attempts by Russian Forces to Breach Pokrovsk
Russian aggressors are continuing their attempts to infiltrate the city of Pokrovsk from southern routes, advancing through the areas of Zvirove and Pershe Travnia.
This was confirmed by the spokesperson for the "Dnipro" military command, Oleksiy Bielskiy.
"They are trying to move into Pokrovsk in small groups, primarily in pairs," he noted.
Bielskiy also added that no enemy infiltration attempts would go unanswered.
"I have information about the units ready to give a worthy response to the enemy, and I can only wish good luck to those trying to enter the city - only those willing to surrender will survive. The rest will be quickly located and neutralized," the spokesperson assured.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the occupiers are intensifying their pressure on the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration, hoping to capture it this autumn. Over the past day, the enemy conducted assaults along nearly the entire line of defense of the agglomeration, attacking simultaneously in 15 directions.
"The invaders are actively seeking weak points in our defenses, but they are not only failing to break through but also suffering losses from our unexpected and effective attacks," Bielskiy recounted.
At the same time, he informed that in the last two days, Russian forces began shelling from the Pokrovsk direction towards Novopavlivka.
"This settlement is also an important target for the occupiers, which they have been unable to capture for many months," he emphasized.
In addition, the spokesperson noted that during the last day, 195 combat clashes with the enemy were recorded, a third of which occurred in the Pokrovsk direction.
"On this front, a record number of attacks has been registered since the beginning of offensive actions towards Pokrovsk - 64 attacks!" Bielskiy pointed out.
