On August 30th, around 4 PM, the Russian army shelled the building of the Kherson Regional Administration, leading to a fire that was extinguished by the morning.

The fire continued throughout the night. It was only in the morning of August 31st that the emergency services managed to control the flames. There were no casualties from the attack or the fire. The building suffered extensive damage from airstrikes.
