Starting from the evening of August 21, Russian occupants launched an attack on Ukraine using 55 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various imitation drones. 46 of these drones were neutralized, but some hits were recorded.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided updates via Telegram.
According to the AF: "As of 9:00 AM, air defense forces have shot down/disabled 46 enemy Shahed-type UAVs and imitation drones in the northern and eastern regions of the country. 9 strikes were recorded at 4 locations".
The occupiers launched their drones from Russian cities such as Shatalovo, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from Gvardiiske, located in temporarily occupied Crimea. The air assault was countered by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
