Successful Neutralization of Enemy Targets: Latest Updates
The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the destruction of 230 Russian-made drones, along with two "Iskander-M" ballistic missiles and four X-101 cruise missiles.
According to Ukrinform, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared this information via Telegram.
Since 8:00 PM on Monday, August 18, Russian forces have attacked Ukraine using 280 aerial assault means:
- 270 strike drones of the Shahed type and various imitation drones from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk;
- five "Iskander-M" ballistic missiles from the Rostov and Voronezh regions, as well as from temporarily occupied Crimea;
- five X-101 cruise missiles launched by strategic aviation over the Caspian Sea.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 9:00 AM on Tuesday, August 19, preliminary data indicates that air defense shot down or suppressed 236 aerial targets:
- 230 Shahed-type drones and imitation drones;
- two "Iskander-M" missiles;
- four X-101 cruise missiles.
There were recorded impacts of four missiles and 40 drones at 16 locations, with debris falling at three sites.
