Defense Against Airstrikes: Latest Reports on Night Attacks

On the night of August 12, an assault was launched on Ukrainian territories using 48 strike drones of the Shahed type and various other UAVs, along with 4 Iskander-class ballistic missiles.

This information was confirmed by the Ukrainian Air Forces via Telegram.

The Sumy and Donetsk regions were targeted by drone attacks, while Chernihiv Oblast was hit by missile strikes.

Preliminary reports indicate that by 9:00 AM, air defense systems had shot down 36 enemy Shahed-type drones and imitator UAVs in the northern and eastern parts of the country.

Impact was recorded from 12 drones and 3 missiles across 7 locations.

The air assault was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces.
