A Disturbing Night in Odesa: Mass Drone Attack on the City
A disturbing night in Odesa: the enemy launched a mass drone attack on the city.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
The most affected was a nine-story building, where apartments from the 5th to the 8th floor were destroyed, and fires broke out on the 5th and 6th floors of one of the entrances.
Five individuals were rescued from blocked apartments, and 33 residents were evacuated.
Psychologists from the emergency services and the National Police were present to assist local residents.
Canine units were deployed at the site to search for potential victims.
The debris removal efforts are complicated by the threat of structural collapse, as indicated by a specialized seismographic device monitoring the movements of the damaged building elements.
Near the building, the emergency services established a Resilience Point.
The response efforts are ongoing.
Additionally, rescuers addressed the aftermath of the attack at other locations, where fires occurred in private homes and at a gas station.
According to preliminary reports, three people were injured.
A total of 26 units of equipment and 112 rescuers from the emergency services have been deployed.
