Escalation of Attacks in Sumy Region: Nearly 70 Shellings in One Day
In the past day, Russian troops have conducted nearly 70 shellings across 27 settlements in 13 territorial communities of the Sumy region.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration via Telegram, as stated by Ukrinform.
In the Sumy community (Velykocherniakivsky starostate), two civilians (born in 1960) were killed due to a KAB attack. In the Shostka community, three individuals were injured from drone strikes.
The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs and drones, dropping more than 10 VOGs.
Additionally, the enemy struck FPV drones across the Sumy region, causing significant damage to civilian infrastructure. Specifically, in the Sumy community (Velykocherniakivsky starostate), two residential buildings were destroyed, and another ten were damaged. In the Krasnopillia community, one residential building was damaged, while non-residential premises were affected in the Shostka community.
Overall, the air alert in the region lasted for 8 hours and 45 minutes.
As reported by Ukrinform, from the morning of July 11 to the morning of July 12, Russian forces carried out over 60 shellings across 35 settlements in 13 territorial communities, resulting in four injuries.
