Explosion in Kherson: Neutralization of Invaders
On July 4, 2025, an explosion occurred at the outskirts of the temporarily occupied settlement of Strilkove in the Kherson region, destroying a Chevrolet Aveo with three aggressors inside, who were UAV operators from the Russian special unit called 'bars-sarmat'.
All three aggressors, including the commander of the group posing a threat to Ukraine's security forces and terrorizing the civilian population of Kherson, were heading to a concert by Joseph Kobzon.
The so-called 'bars-sarmat' center was established in 2024 in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia region. It specializes in testing and combat application of new robotic and electronic systems, including UAVs, robotic complexes, electronic reconnaissance and warfare systems, as well as control and communication means.
The commander of the specified unit is the former head of 'Roscosmos', Dmitry Rogozin.
The Russian center 'bars-sarmat' includes several detachments. The eliminated group was part of 'bars-1', which is stationed in the occupied Henichesk. The leader of 'bars-1' with the call sign 'Corsair' is depicted in an illustrative photo next to Rogozin.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reminds that for every military crime committed against the Ukrainian people, there will be just retribution.
