Rocket Strike on Publishing House: Consequences and Community Support
An explosion and debris have severely damaged the facade of the building.
In the early hours of July 4, Kyiv was struck by a rocket-drone attack, which caused significant damage to the storage of the publishing house and the online store 'Our Format'. Parts of the walls collapsed, all windows were shattered, concrete ceilings were damaged, and there are substantial destructions inside the premises. The publishing house announced this on their Facebook page.
Due to the attack and firefighting efforts, some books were damaged. Consequently, the publishing house has temporarily halted order shipments.
“But the most important thing is that everyone is alive and unharmed. We will restore the building, and we will reprint the books... Our website and call center are operational, and we are ready to address all inquiries about orders. We plan to resume shipments next week. Thank you to all readers for your understanding,” the message stated.
In the comments, people are asking how they can help and offering financial support. However, the publishing house has stated that they will not set up a fundraiser for recovery, assuring that they will manage on their own, and they encourage directing financial help to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
