On the evening of June 29, Russian forces launched a massive assault on Ukraine using 107 Shahed-type drones and various other unmanned aerial vehicles, with 74 targets neutralized, although 15 hits were recorded.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force via Telegram.
As of 9:00 AM, the air defense system had destroyed 74 enemy Shahed drones and other types of UAVs in the northern, eastern, and southern regions of the country. 64 were shot down by firepower, and 10 were suppressed by electronic warfare.
The Air Force noted that hits were recorded in 15 locations, with debris from downed drones falling in 2 locations.
The invaders launched drones from the Russian cities of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from Hvardiyiske, located in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The main targets of the attack were Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
The air assault was countered by aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
