Release of Severely Wounded Heroes: A New Phase in Prisoner Exchange

Today, Ukraine witnessed a new phase of the prisoner exchange, where a group of severely wounded and critically ill defenders returned from Russian captivity.
The Coordinating Headquarters, under the direction of the President of Ukraine, facilitated the return of military personnel in urgent need of medical care.
The freed individuals include servicemen from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Navy, Air Force, as well as National Guard and State Border Guard representatives.
Among those released are defenders from Mariupol, who had been in captivity for over three years.
Some of the released were previously considered missing in action.
This time, the returning Ukrainians fought on various fronts, including Donetsk and Kherson.
All released individuals will undergo medical examinations and receive necessary psychological and physical rehabilitation.
This exchange is part of a larger program aimed at bringing back military personnel in need of assistance.
The Coordinating Headquarters continues its efforts and is working on upcoming phases of the release.
