Tragedy in Kharkiv: Attack on a Trolleybus Depot
On the night of May 30, Russian occupying forces struck a trolleybus depot in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv. 18 trolleybuses and 33 residential buildings were damaged, and two employees of the enterprise were injured.
Details: According to the city mayor, the enemy launched an attack with eight "Shahed" drones on one of the depots where municipal trolleybuses were repaired and serviced.
"Most of the vehicles were dispersed throughout the city in advance – this saved us from much greater losses. However, the equipment that was under repair was hit: one trolleybus was completely destroyed, and 18 others sustained varying degrees of damage." — Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov
Details: As a result of the strike, two employees who were on shift during the attack were injured.
"Today’s target is the civilian population, this is the civilian infrastructure of Kharkiv; there were never any military personnel here, and there were never any military facilities." – emphasized Terekhov.
The shockwave and debris also damaged 33 residential buildings located nearby – primarily breaking windows.
