Quote from Zelensky: "Our soldiers are returning home, representing the Armed Forces, National Guard, and other security agencies."
The Coordination Staff added that among those freed are military personnel from various branches, including the Navy, Air Forces, and 70 defenders from Mariupol.
All released are men, ranking from privates to sergeants.
It is known that they fought in the eastern regions of Ukraine, particularly in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Kherson, Sumy, and Chernihiv oblasts.
Note: The "1000 for 1000" exchange has now reached its 65th iteration since the full-scale conflict began.
Since March 2022, the Coordination Staff has successfully liberated 5757 Ukrainian citizens through negotiations and exchanges.
