Kyiv Under Attack: Nighttime Strikes and Rescue Operations
On the night of May 24, Kyiv faced another assault by drones and ballistic missiles. Rescue teams are addressing the aftermath at several locations across the city:
Solomyanskyi District. Fire erupted in apartments on the 4th and 5th floors of a five-story residential building. With the efforts of 30 personnel and 8 units of firefighting and special equipment, the blaze was extinguished. A man was rescued using a life hood and handed over to medics with a preliminary diagnosis of smoke poisoning.
Obolonskyi District. Flames ignited on the balconies of a nine-story building spanning the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th floors. Three individuals were brought to safety, while four others sought medical attention with a diagnosis of acute stress reaction. The fire has been extinguished.
Sviatoshynskyi District. A fire broke out in a single-story non-residential building used for storing paint materials due to a Russian attack. Operations are ongoing.
