Trump and Zelensky's Meeting in Rome: New Prospects

US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky held a significant meeting in Rome that lasted approximately 15 minutes.

Sources from the White House confirmed that both leaders discussed key issues, though details remain confidential. This was their first in-person meeting following a crisis that occurred in the Oval Office.

The meeting took place at a crucial time as negotiations continue to resolve the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

Stephen Chung, the White House Communications Director, stated: "President Trump and President Zelensky had a constructive discussion today."

Trump urged both sides to pursue a peace agreement and reported successful talks between his envoy and the Russian leadership. He also called for a high-level meeting between Moscow and Kyiv.

Recent reports indicate that the Trump administration handed Ukraine a document regarding peace resolution, which includes potential recognition of Russia's control over Crimea.
