Heroic Rescue by National Guard During Kyiv Rocket Attack

On April 24, following a rocket strike on Kyiv, military personnel began clearing the debris of a destroyed building.

Specifically, a member of the National Guard managed to rescue a three-year-old girl, her parents, and their dog, as reported by the National Guard.

Maxim Timoshko, a soldier from one of the units of the Northern Operational Territorial Association, became a true savior for this family.

"First, I took the child. I handed her over to my comrade and returned for the adults. The man was severely injured, so I quickly carried him to the ambulance, and then went back for the woman and the dog.

It was difficult to reach them – I had to break down doors and act very quickly. Every second could have been the last," Maxim recounted.

After the rescue, the family was evacuated from the strike site and handed over to medical personnel.

It’s worth noting that during the massive rocket attack on Kyiv on the night of April 24, one of the enemy rockets hit a residential building in the Svyatoshyn district. 12 people died, and 87 were injured.

Among the deceased was 17-year-old student Danylo Khudya from the Kyiv Aviation College. His friends have been waiting by the rubble since early morning, hoping for a miracle.
