On the night of April 24, rescue workers extinguished around 40 fires in nine regions due to a massive assault from Russia. A rescue worker was injured during a secondary strike in the Zhytomyr region.

Direct quote from the minister: "This night, DSNS responders worked to eliminate about 40 fire outbreaks across 9 regions. The cities of Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia were under fire from Russia."

Kyiv suffered the most damage: rescue teams operated in 13 locations... As of 7:30 AM, 9 fatalities have been confirmed due to the Russian strike in the capital, with over 70 individuals injured."

Details: According to Klymenko, rescue operations continued under the threat of further attacks.

"In Zhytomyr, the enemy launched a secondary strike on the DSNS unit that arrived to combat the fires. A 39-year-old rescuer was injured," Klymenko concluded.
