Tragic Aftermath of Rocket Strike in Kryvyi Rih

In response to the horrific rocket strike on Kryvyi Rih, which resulted in the deaths of at least 20 individuals, including children, Ukraine has taken urgent steps to convene meetings of the UN Security Council and the OSCE Permanent Council.

This was announced by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, highlighting that the meetings are scheduled for April 8.

Ukraine is pushing for UN and OSCE meetings due to this tragic incident in Kryvyi Rih.

According to the minister, the primary goal of these meetings is to “draw attention to Russia’s crimes,” support peace initiatives, and ensure accountability for those responsible.

The international community is expected to show “strong condemnation” and take “active measures.”

“Russia must stop the terror against Ukrainian children and civilians, respond to the US proposal for a ceasefire, which Ukraine accepted, and end the war,” stressed Sybiha.

Details of the rocket attack in Kryvyi Rih

On April 4, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile “Iskander-M” equipped with cluster munitions at a residential area in Kryvyi Rih, resulting in 20 fatalities, including nine children.

More than 70 individuals have sustained injuries.

The strike targeted the central part of the residential area, near a playground.

The Russian Ministry of Defense cynically commented on the attack on Kryvyi Rih.

They claimed that the Russians “targeted a meeting place with commanders and Western instructors” in a restaurant, and also asserted that “losses amounted to up to 85 military personnel and officers from foreign states, as well as 20 units of automotive equipment.”
