During the missile strike, 18 people became victims, including 9 children.
“Three-year-old Tymofii, unfortunately, passed away today (April 5 - ed.) in the hospital. Seven-year-old Radyslav. Arina, who will forever be 7. Nine-year-old Herman. Fifteen-year-olds Danilo, Mykyta, and Alina. Sixteen-year-old Kostyantyn. Seventeen-year-old Nikita,” listed the names of the deceased children by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Currently, there are 75 known injured.
37 individuals remain hospitalized, with 19 in serious condition.
The occupiers struck Kryvyi Rih on Friday evening with an “Iskander” ballistic missile carrying cluster munitions, targeting the center of a residential neighborhood that included a playground, café, and homes.
Hours later, Russian forces again attacked the city with drones.
One person died, and seven others were injured.
Zelensky calls for pressure on Russia
In his evening address, President Volodymyr Zelensky urged the world to apply pressure on Russia.
“Russia must be held accountable for all its actions; we need to pressure them - genuinely pressure, not waste time in empty discussions - to end this war,” the president stated.
Volodymyr Zelensky, who previously criticized the U.S. for its “weak” stance regarding the missile strike on Kryvyi Rih, urged not to remain silent about Russian crimes.
“To keep silent about the fact that it is Russia killing children with ballistic missiles is wrong, it is dangerous. It only incites the scum in Moscow to continue the war and ignore diplomacy. Weakness has never ended a war. Therefore, I am grateful to every country whose representatives have spoken out: leaders, foreign ministers, embassies,” emphasized the president.
