The war has claimed the life of renowned Ukrainian climber, member of the Odessa climbing club Taras Tsushko.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Mountaineering and Climbing Federation.
Tsushko was one of the top climbers in Ukraine, a member of the national team, and a multiple champion of Ukraine and the CIS in various climbing disciplines.
Since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, he stood up to defend his homeland.
"Taras was a kind, empathetic, and reliable friend to all climbers in Odessa. He dreamed of reviving high achievement climbing in Odessa after the war ends. Our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased," the message states.
The farewell for Taras Tsushko will take place on April 6. The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 AM at the church near the Kryzhanivsky cemetery.
