Details: The head of the British government commented on the altercation between Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump in the White House, stating that "such scenarios are clearly unacceptable".
He reminded that he met with the Ukrainian president yesterday and spoke with Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron, noting that his main goal was to reconnect them on a common issue.
"We agreed that Britain together with France and possibly one or two other countries will work with Ukraine on a ceasefire plan, and then we will discuss this plan with the United States," Starmer announced.
He urged "not to get distracted from our primary goal – establishing lasting peace in Ukraine".
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky left the White House early on Friday, February 28, following an argument with Donald Trump and Vice President Jay D. Vance.
During his meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday, Starmer assured that Britain would continue its support for Ukraine "for as long as necessary" and is steadfastly committed to achieving sustainable peace.
