On the Day of Dignity and Freedom, President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska paid tribute to Ukrainians who perished during the Revolution of Dignity. This information was published on the official website of the President of Ukraine.
Volodymyr and Olena Zelensky lit candles at the cross on the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
They noted on social media that this day primarily symbolizes the recognition of the cost of independence for Ukraine and the efforts required to achieve true sovereignty.
“With a neighbor like Russia, the defense of dignity, freedom, and independence is an incredibly challenging task, but without it, the Ukrainian people cannot preserve themselves. Therefore, it is crucial that Ukrainians do not give up, defend fundamental principles, and, through their strength, change the course of history so that Ukraine may live and thrive. Thank you to everyone fighting for our state as if for themselves,” emphasized the President and First Lady in a joint post.
