Art as a Symbol of Unity: New Exhibition in Lithuania
The Lithuanian Parliament hosted an art exhibition by Diana Podolyanchuk, who actively supports Ukrainian military units.
This artist and head of a charity fund that regularly aids the Main Intelligence Directorate presented her works under the title "Art as a Symbol of Unity" at the Visitor Center of the Lithuanian Seimas.
The opening took place on July 15, coinciding with Ukraine's Statehood Day.
Her paintings reflect historical themes and the struggle of the Ukrainian people for freedom. Some works are dedicated to Ukrainian military units.
"Many of these paintings were created in Kyiv's bomb shelters during shelling. They convey the state of life for Ukrainians today and our faith in justice, peace, and victory," said Diana Podolyanchuk.
Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov thanked the guests and the people of Lithuania for their support of Ukraine amidst the full-scale aggression by Russia.
"It is vital that we do not forget during this great war that art and culture are an important front in our struggle and future victory. Our music, literature, cinema, and painting reflect the heroism of our warriors and the resilience of the entire Ukrainian society," emphasized Budanov.
At the event, Diana also presented her new painting "Tree of the Soul: Shared Roots of Lithuania and Ukraine," symbolizing the strong historical ties between the two nations. She gifted this painting to the Seimas of Lithuania as a token of gratitude for their support.
Glory to Ukraine!
