During his visit to Denmark, President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded 11-year-old volunteer Jens Fog Thomsen.
According to "European Truth", this recognition was shared on social media.
Thomsen received the "Future of Ukraine" award, becoming the first foreign recipient of this honor.
"Since last year, he has been creating Easter decorations and has raised over 34,000 Danish crowns from their sales to buy school backpacks and supplies for Ukrainian children affected by the war," the president stated.
The Presidential Office clarified that Jens began his charitable efforts in 2024 after seeing news about children losing their homes due to the war.
He crafts decorations in the form of blue-and-yellow chicks made from beads.
At the end of May, Zelensky awarded 24 children with the "Future of Ukraine" accolade.
