The Tribeca Film Festival in New York hosted the world premiere of the Ukrainian film anthology «War Through the Eyes of Animals».
One of the segments was directed by Myroslav Slaboshpytskyi featuring Oscar-winning Sean Penn, while the soundtrack was provided by Imagine Dragons.
Author Oleg Kokan emphasized that the film's mission is to «use the power of art to tell the world who we are and what we fight for».
After the screening, American actor Chris Noth commented on the impressive realism of the performances.
Actress Daria Marchenko replied, «We weren’t acting; we’ve been living in this reality for four years».
Journalists described the film as a poignant reflection on war through the silent suffering of animals caught in human conflict.
The anthology consists of stories based on true events.
The Ukrainian premiere is set for fall 2025, after which the film will be released worldwide.
The credits include a promo code allowing viewers from any country to contribute to fundraising efforts for those affected by the war, both humans and animals.
