June 6 marks the celebration of Journalists' Day in Ukraine.
Greetings for Journalists' Day
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, along with other officials, expressed gratitude to media workers for their courage and role during the challenges of war, honoring the memory of those who lost their lives in the line of duty.
President's Greetings
The head of state emphasized the importance of journalists in conveying the truth about Ukraine. "The world knows what is happening in our country, thanks to you," Zelensky stated.
He highlighted that the work of journalists is a crucial element in defending Ukraine's independence.
"Thank you! Happy Journalists' Day. Remember those who have died in this war; their memory deserves respect," the President added.
Greeting from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces
General Oleksandr Syrskyi also congratulated journalists, noting their contribution to highlighting the struggle of the Ukrainian people.
"You help convey the truth to the world, expose propaganda, and support the nation's fighting spirit," he stated.
Syrskyi also mentioned those who joined the Armed Forces and volunteer efforts from the first days of the war.

The Security Service of Ukraine pointed out the dangers journalists face, expressing gratitude for their work during the war.
"You are the eyes of the world, documenting the heroism and suffering of Ukrainians. Your work is a weapon of truth," the SBU emphasized.

Journalists' Day (June 6) is celebrated annually in Ukraine, underscoring the importance of journalism in society. The holiday was established by a decree from President Leonid Kravchuk in 1994.
