New Regulations for Military Technology Sports
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has received a draft of regulations from the Federation of Military Technology Sports and is currently working on their approval.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine for digital development, Vitaliy Lavrov, during a press conference at the «Ukrinform» news agency.
Vitaliy Lavrov noted that the newly developed regulations clearly outline the requirements and conditions for competitions in areas such as FPV drone racing with combat payloads and cyber competitions (CTF).
According to the Deputy Minister, the approval of competition rules will create favorable conditions and enhance training activities in military technology sports. This will also improve the skills of military personnel.
The event was also attended by the president of the Federation of Military Technology Sports of Ukraine, Arthur Buligin, the head of the All-Ukrainian Union of Defenders of Ukraine, athletes, and workers in the field, Sergey Bizov, and the Lieutenant General, Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Union of Defenders of Ukraine, athletes, and workers in the field, Yuriy Dumansky.
Participants discussed the importance of the official recognition of military technology sports in Ukraine, its role in military-patriotic education, and prospects for development in collaboration with trade unions and government institutions.
During the press conference, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Federation of Military Technology Sports of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Union of Defenders of Ukraine, athletes, and workers in the field.
Vitaliy Lavrov supported the initiative to sign the memorandum, emphasizing that such cooperation opens new opportunities for involving veterans in military technology sports.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has officially recognized military technology sports as a new non-Olympic sport. The relevant order from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine dated February 24, 2025, No. 1105 includes it in the Register of Recognized Sports.
