New Milestones for Ukraine's Defense Industry in 2025

In 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has put into operation over 1300 new models of weapons and military equipment, which is a 25% increase compared to last year. Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal announced this on his Facebook page.

According to him, the largest portion of the new samples includes:

• over 550 unmanned aerial vehicles,
• more than 270 various munitions,
• over 50 types of automotive technology,
• 11 types of armored vehicles (including special armored cars),
• 13 types of firearms.

«This achievement is the result of systematic efforts by Ukrainian manufacturers, who are not only scaling up production but also creating new technological solutions for the front line,» Shmyhal emphasized.
He also highlighted that the development of the domestic defense industry is a strategic priority, and the development of indigenous technologies is one of the key foundations for the resilience of the Ukrainian military.
In 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine allocated over 6 billion dollars to the domestic defense-industrial complex.
