New Career Support Initiative for Veterans in Defense Industry
The Zbroya portal has launched a new career consultation service for veterans to aid them in securing employment in the defense industry. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The ministry states that this initiative will allow veterans with combat experience to receive support in leveraging their skills for a new career path in the defense sector.
According to the defense ministry, interested veterans can seek advice from specialists at Lobby X, who will assist in:
- identifying personal strengths, areas of interest, and potential roles within the defense industry;
- conducting an individual assessment of experiences and skills;
- preparing resumes and tailoring combat experience to employer requirements;
- finding relevant job openings among weapon manufacturers, tech teams, R&D, and defense technology enterprises;
- determining next steps in professional development: training, requalification, or internships;
- preparing for interviews;
- receiving support during the job search.
The Zbroya platform was launched in August 2025. It compiles information on all key government services and opportunities available for manufacturers of weapons and military equipment in Ukraine, as well as current job vacancies, particularly for veterans looking to join the defense industry.
