New Digital Ecosystem 'Horizon' to Support Unemployed in Ukraine

Ukraine is set to launch a new digital ecosystem called "Horizon" aimed at helping unemployed individuals find jobs. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, the government has already approved the platform's launch. Svyrydenko explained that the new system will operate through the “Dii” app.

Ukrainians will be able to:

• register their unemployment status;
• apply for assistance;
• officially resign from jobs in temporarily occupied territories;
• receive grants of up to 15,000 UAH for retraining.

The system will utilize artificial intelligence to identify those who have lost their jobs and match them with suitable vacancies based on skills, experience, and location.
Real-time data will help the government and businesses anticipate the demand for specialists. The State Employment Service will be the administrator of the new system, connecting all key government institutions.
Svyrydenko also noted that if a person does not find a job within 60 days of being laid off, employment advisors will offer them vacancies, training, retraining, or grants even before they officially acquire unemployment status.
