Heating Supply in Ukraine: 2025 Season Update
In Ukraine, 13 regions have begun the gradual connection of heating systems to residential buildings. This is reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.
"Partial connections are underway in 13 regions. Other regions will also gradually begin connecting consumers," said Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Konstantin Kovalchuk.
"Currently, over 55% of social infrastructure facilities are connected to heating, including more than 5,000 kindergartens, nearly 6,000 educational institutions, and over 2,000 healthcare facilities," he noted.
In total, more than 17,500 boiler houses and 17,000 kilometers of heating networks have been prepared for the start of the heating season, of which 340 km have been replaced, along with capital repairs and boiler replacements.
Kovalchuk pointed out that this heating season has started amid unprecedented attacks by our enemy on energy and thermal generation facilities. Residential, heating, and water supply infrastructure is suffering daily from enemy shelling.
"We anticipate a difficult winter, but despite this, the technical readiness of heating supply enterprises allows us to commence the heating season. I want to thank all communities for their thoughtful and economical approach to the start of the heating season," he added.
