New Digital Platform for Early Childhood Education in Ukraine
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a new initiative to implement the educational digital platform «Dream» for preschool institutions. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
«Dream» will become the primary educational system that will accompany children from kindergarten to graduation from school, — stated Yulia Svyrydenko.
The Dream. Preschool» platform will provide educators with tools for:
- attendance tracking;
- class record keeping;
- meal tracking;
- sleep monitoring.
Parents will gain transparent access to information about their children's learning and achievements.
This decree also includes other updates for the «Dream» system:
- Implementation of gamification. Businesses will be able to support children's development by providing bonuses through the platform.
- An open content platform. Teachers and companies can publish their materials on «Dream», with the quality being controlled by the state.
According to Svyrydenko, in the past year, teachers have assigned over 11 million grades and noted more than 5 million absences, as well as adding over 2.5 million homework assignments.
