In October, Ukrainian emergency responders visited Sweden as part of a collaboration with the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB). During this training visit, specialists honed their skills using modern rescue vessels that will soon be delivered to Ukraine as humanitarian aid.
The training took place in Stockholm and Gothenburg. The rescuers:
practiced on the rescue vessel «Märta Collin» (16 meters) and the fast fire-fighting vessel «Balder» (15 meters);
refined their vessel handling skills;
familiarized themselves with the design, firefighting systems, and technical capabilities of the vessels.
A meeting was also held with representatives from the Swedish company that manufactures these vessels. They will continue to provide technical support and maintenance services.
