Free Health Services for Women in Kyiv
On October 19, in the park named after Taras Shevchenko in Kyiv, a free event for women will be organized by the medical volunteer mission FRIDA Ukraine in collaboration with the DILA laboratory.
In a specially equipped Mobile Clinic, women will be able to receive consultations from a breast specialist and gynecologist, undergo breast ultrasound, pelvic ultrasound, and a PAP test using liquid cytology method. The examinations will be conducted by experienced volunteer doctors from FRIDA.
This Health Day is held on the eve of October 20 — the National Day for the Fight Against Breast Cancer, and the entire month of October is traditionally dedicated to raising awareness on this issue.
“The aim of the event is to encourage women to regularly undergo preventive check-ups and take care of their health. During the event, the FRIDA team will also distribute informational materials on early diagnosis of breast cancer and important aspects of women's health care. Your attention to your own body can save YOUR life,” the organizers noted.
FRIDA Ukraine is a medical volunteer mission that unites over 1100 doctors from all over the country and the world. They operate in frontline regions, deploying field clinics to provide free medical services to populations affected by hostilities and occupation.
