Collaboration between Ukraine and Bell Textron Inc in Aviation Technologies
The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine has signed a partnership agreement with the American corporation Bell Textron Inc concerning the development of cooperation in aviation technologies. The signing took place in Washington during the international exhibition AUSA 2025, as reported by the ministry's press service.
Deputy Minister Vitaliy Kindrativ and Bell's Executive Vice President Jeffrey Schlosser signed the memorandum, which outlines the creation of production and service capacities in Ukraine for high-tech machine engineering.
This partnership aims to revive Ukraine's national helicopter industry. Bell Textron Inc intends to establish a production base in Ukraine for the assembly, maintenance, and repair of helicopters.
The company plans to open a representative office in Ukraine, create a final assembly and testing center, explore opportunities for a joint venture with Ukrainian partners, and ensure technology transfer and training for Ukrainian engineers in the USA.
These steps will lay the groundwork for launching licensed helicopter production in Ukraine and developing new industrial capabilities in aviation.
"This memorandum represents a significant step toward modern high-tech manufacturing, expanding industrial capabilities, and attracting investment in strategic sectors. We aim for Ukraine to become part of global production chains and innovative partnerships," said Kindrativ.
American helicopter manufacturer Bell Helicopter is considering the possibility of investing in production in Ukraine.
