Ukrposhta has announced the opening of its own network of parcel lockers. According to their statement, the first 100 units will be installed this year.
Currently, only residents of Kyiv, where 70 lockers will be installed, and Odesa, where 30 units will be placed, will be able to use the new service. The company states that by 2026, they will expand this service throughout Ukraine.
Parcels can be picked up using a PIN code or through the updated Ukrposhta 2.0 app, which was introduced in September and is already available on App Store and Google Pay.
According to the announcement, the Ukrposhta lockers have been designed with enhanced security standards and are capable of operating autonomously, even without electricity or connectivity.
