Restoration of the Theatre Muse Sculpture in Kyiv
The restoration of the Theatre Muse sculpture on the Obolon embankment in Kyiv has been completed. This was announced by the municipal enterprise «Pleso». The official opening was held to celebrate the Day of the Artist.
The restoration works, initiated by the «Pleso» enterprise and the NGO «Chamberg Heritage in Arts and Education», were carried out by renowned sculptor Serhiy Borodin. Thanks to his expertise, the sculpture was restored to its original appearance based on archival materials.
The main goal of the restoration was to preserve the authentic elements, replacing only the lost or damaged parts. All works were conducted using technologies that ensure quality and durability. Additionally, a special protective coating was applied to the sculpture, ensuring its resistance to weather conditions and preserving its beauty for years to come.
«This successful restoration is an important step in preserving the cultural heritage of the city and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of public spaces. We invite everyone to enjoy the renewed beauty of the Theatre Muse», — stated the Pleso representatives.
It is worth noting that at the end of last year, the «Pleso» enterprise took responsibility for the elements of the Obolon embankment improvement, including the sculptures of the «Alley of Muses», and began their restoration.
