The divorce process is set to become significantly easier and more convenient. In 2026, the Diia app will launch the option to submit a divorce application online. This service will be available for couples without children. The relevant changes were approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on October 8, 2025. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced these innovations.
“Previously, the process required multiple visits to the civil registry office and a lot of paperwork. Now everything will be much simpler — without queues and unnecessary travel,” she emphasized.
According to her, after submitting the application, the Diia system will automatically check all the data, and within a month, the marriage will be officially dissolved. During this period, the application can be withdrawn. The divorce certificate will also be available in the app.
