Free Resources for Students: New Opportunities from Google

Starting October 8, students in Ukraine will have free access to a one-year subscription to Gemini and AI Pro from Google.
This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov via Telegram.
«Students need modern tools to study more effectively and develop their skills. From today, Google is providing students aged 18 and older with a free one-year subscription to the Google AI Pro toolkit,» the message states.
Ukrainian university students can access the following services:
- Gemini 2.5 Pro – a chat tool for learning assistance that allows users to upload photos and receive real-time explanations;
- Deep Research – a tool that analyzes numerous sources and generates structured reports, saving hours on paper preparation;
- NotebookLM – a personal assistant for organizing knowledge and notes, now with enhanced audio and video analysis capabilities;
- Veo 3 – converts text or photos into an 8-second video with sound;
- Jules – an AI assistant for programming, helping to write, test, and improve code;
- 2 TB of cloud storage – ample space for all notes, documents, and projects.
To participate in the program, registration on the website is required.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation has also announced a new stage of cooperation with Google to utilize AI technologies for developing state AI products in Ukraine.
