MEGOGO AI Film Festival: Highlights and Winners

The MEGOGO AI FILM FESTIVAL has once again made headlines with its impressive outcomes. This year, during the closing ceremony of the XVI Odesa International Film Festival, the event celebrating Ukrainian films utilizing artificial intelligence took place at the "Zhovten" cinema in Kyiv.

According to the organizers, nearly 200 entries were submitted for the competition, marking a significant increase compared to last year. The jury highlighted the improvement in the quality of submissions. Among the participants were both newcomers and those returning after last year's debut. The professional jury selected winners in five main categories, as well as a Grand Prix recipient.

The winners of the MEGOGO AI FILM FEST 2025 are as follows:

The Grand Prix and a cash prize of 240,000 UAH went to Yevhen Chernyshov for his short film Session, where the protagonist named Dave shares his concerns; last year, he won a bronze award;
The title of Best Cinematic was awarded to Volodymyr and Valeria Pridorohin for their short film "Path," which metaphorically explores the fluidity of life, with a prize of 80,000 UAH;
The Best Animation award went to Adshot Creative agency for the film "Night Shift," depicting the internal dialogue of a person facing pain;
The Best Script prize went to Maria Zozulia for her work "Profession," which tells a story about childhood and dreams;
The award for Vertical Format went to creator amheus for the collection of absurd stories "Synthetic";
In the AI Vision: UKRAINE category, Olga Moroz won with her film "Quiet Water - Deep," a tale about the Kupala night and an ancient legend.

Volodymyr Borovyk, co-founder of MEGOGO, emphasized that despite challenges, Ukrainian creators showcased a high level of creativity.

"Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing our lives, and it must be integrated into various sectors to provide Ukraine with growth opportunities for the future," he emphasized.

The laureates of MEGOGO AI FILM FEST 2025 include the children's YouTube channel "Upodobayka," the project "Shield from Alarms," Ihor Mukomela with "Polissia Mysteries," and several others who received an annual subscription to MEGOGO "Maximum."

Additionally, works like "Silent Music" (Dmytro Holovashych) and "Democracy" (Hrushevskyi team) were also recognized by the jury.

The jury, responsible for evaluating the submissions, included prominent figures such as Anna Machukh, Dmytro Melkov, and others.
