Launch of Online Certification for Mine Action Operators in Ukraine

Ukraine is introducing a new online certification system for mine action operators through the "Diia" platform. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
"From now on, almost all stages can be completed remotely: from submitting an application for certification to appeals. The only aspect that will remain offline is the on-site inspection," Svyrydenko noted.
Dedicated offices will be provided for operators and certification bodies, enabling them to quickly exchange documents and comments.
Each stage has defined timelines, with the minimum certification period being 1 month.
Currently, there are 125 registered operators in Ukraine, the majority of which are Ukrainian, with only 8 being foreign.
"Scaling and speeding up demining efforts are among the government's key priorities, as Ukraine is one of the most mine-affected countries in the world," Svyrydenko emphasized.
