Order Your Criminal Record Extract Online
You can now order a criminal record extract with an apostille online through the «Unified Window for Citizens» or the «Diia» app.
This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Igor Klymenko, via Telegram.
"Just yesterday, this service was only available in-person at the MIA office in Kyiv or through a legal representative. Today, with just a few clicks, you can have your extract regarding criminal record status prepared, including the apostille option", he stated.
To obtain the extract, you need to log in to the «Unified Window for Citizens» or the «Diia» app, fill out an electronic form, choose «paper extract», and select a convenient method of receiving it: at the MIA, the nearest Ukrposhta branch, or via courier delivery.
On the MIA website in the «Unified Window for Citizens», you can order a criminal record extract either with or without an apostille.
The processing time for the extract is up to 30 days, and if an apostille is required, it may take an additional 5 days. The entire process can be tracked online.
Klymenko noted that this is one of the most popular services of the MIA: this year alone, Ukrainians have already ordered over 44,000 paper extracts, of which more than 33,500 include apostilles.
The press service of the State Enterprise «Diia» added that the service is available to users aged 14 and older who are authorized in «Diia», have a tax number, and an ID card (biometric passport or residence permit).
To use this service, you need to update the app, select «Extract of Criminal Record» in the «Certificates and Extracts» service, fill in your details, and choose the document format – digital or paper.
