A thrilling chess tournament took place at the Kyiv railway station, where anyone interested could compete against international master Sergey Pavlov.
Over 20 participants, including both adults and children, joined the event, as reported by Ukrainian Railways.
Sergey played simultaneously against several opponents, but the only one to defeat him was the chess player Oleksandra Udod. Her confident play impressed both the audience and the master.
This event was organized by Ukrainian Railways in collaboration with the Ukrainian Chess Federation to promote the game among travelers and to remind everyone that railways are not just about travel, but also about cultural initiatives.
The audience greeted the participants and the master with applause, and Ukrainian Railways presented commemorative gifts.
Similar competitions are planned for the future.
