Honoring the Memory of Andriy Parubiy: Mourning in Parliament

In the capital city of Kyiv, the national flag has been lowered at the parliament building in memory of the deceased former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Parubiy.
This information was shared by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, on his Facebook page.
"The national flag at the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has been lowered as a sign of respect for the memory of Andriy Parubiy — a member of several convocations, who led the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation and fell victim to murder in Lviv. His passing is a significant loss for the parliament and all of Ukraine," emphasized Stefanchuk.
He noted that the flag will remain at half-mast for three days in a sign of mourning and deep respect.
"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expresses sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Andriy Parubiy. Eternal memory," the post reads.
Recall that on August 30, former Speaker Andriy Parubiy was killed in Lviv as a result of an armed attack. According to Alexander Shlyakhovskyi, the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv region, this murder was meticulously planned.
