Evacuation of Vulnerable Populations: Updates from Kyiv Region

A total of 124 individuals, including those with disabilities and elderly residents, have been evacuated from Donetsk to the Kyiv region. They are receiving the necessary care and medical assistance.

The Kyiv region, in collaboration with the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development, continues to accept the most vulnerable residents from frontline areas. This was stated by Mykola Kalashnyk, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

According to him, evacuation groups have arrived in Kyiv region three times. Initially, 20 individuals were transported, followed by another 52, and on Independence Day, a large group of 52 people was brought in. In total, 124 individuals with disabilities and elderly residents have been accommodated in the region.

All of them are housed in care facilities where they are provided with shelter, care, and medical support. Some injured civilians were immediately sent to hospitals.

As noted by the head of the regional administration, much work remains ahead, as the evacuated individuals have lost their homes and require long-term assistance.
