Kyivstar Tops Again: Ookla Awards 2025
The national telecommunications operator Kyivstar has once again affirmed its leadership status by winning awards from Ookla for the first half of 2025. This marks the second consecutive year the company has been recognized for having the best mobile internet speed and coverage in Ukraine.
The Speedtest Awards are highly significant for telecom operators worldwide. Ookla experts evaluated over a million tests conducted by subscribers in Ukraine during the first and second quarters of 2025. Kyivstar again received three awards in the categories of "Best Coverage," "Fastest Network," and "Best Mobile Network."
Kyivstar achieved a Speed Score of 56.57, the highest among all operators in the country. This score takes into account download speed, upload speed, and latency, providing a comprehensive view of service quality. The average download speed reached 60.63 Mbps, made possible by significant investments in infrastructure upgrades.
Kyivstar also recorded the best result in the Coverage Score, achieving 35.28. This score is based on the analysis of millions of scans in verified locations where operators provide their services. The company boasts the largest 4G network in Ukraine, covering over 96% of the population in controlled areas.
