G7 Foreign Ministers to Hold Virtual Meeting on Ukraine Independence Day

On August 24, Ukraine's Independence Day, a virtual meeting of the foreign ministers of the G7 countries will take place.

This was announced by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Specifically, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani reaffirmed full support for Kyiv in achieving a just and lasting peace, fully respecting Ukraine's sovereignty and in close coordination with the United States and European partners.

The ministry added that Tajani would participate in the virtual meeting of G7 foreign ministers convened by the Canadian presidency today at 14:00 (15:00 Kyiv time). This event will also serve as an opportunity to summarize the outcomes of the European leaders' meeting in Washington on August 18 and discuss prospects for peace in Ukraine.

Additionally, on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day, Minister Tajani ordered the facade of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be illuminated in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
