Fake Promises: Zelensky and Payments to Ukrainians
09 August 2025 15:45
A video is circulating on TikTok that appears to show Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promising financial payments to Ukrainians who have remained in the country since February 24, 2022. The video mentions a sum of 7348 hryvnias.
This information is reported by the Center for Counteracting Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council (CCD at NSDC).
To "receive" the funds, the authors of the fake suggest clicking the link in the profile and filling out a form.
In reality, such payments do not exist, and the President's video is fabricated. The goal of spreading such fakes is to increase the audience of Telegram channels linked in the posts.
The CCD emphasizes that accurate information about payments should only be verified on the official resources of government bodies. The Center has already debunked a similar fake about a supposed payment of 24,000 hryvnias to Ukrainians who did not leave the country after February 24, 2022.
