The Minister of Health, Viktor Lyashko, expressed in his greeting that being a healthcare worker is more than just a job; it is a true calling.
"Once, they listened carefully to the breathing of their favorite toys. Today, they save lives. Those who chose the path of medicine," the minister wrote.
According to him, it all begins with simple things: interest, play, childhood fascination, followed by decision-making, education, practice, shifts, fatigue, responsibility, and a strong desire to help.
"Medical professionals are always with us, supporting us in the toughest moments. This is the nurse who comforts a child in the treatment room. This is the doctor who not only heals but also holds the patient's hand. This is the paramedic who buys time. This is the military medic saving lives under fire. This is the rehabilitation specialist helping people return to life. And those working in frontline hospitals, fully aware of the significance of their presence. Plus, those who show up every day - in the operating room, at the reception, in the ambulance," emphasized the health minister.
